Integral to life at Sterling House are the programs, outings, and opportunities we offer to our residents. Our philosophy is to incorporate not only resident's individual interests, but opportunities that allow them to make meaningful contributions to each other and the community on a regular basis. Pleasure, a sense of purpose and a feeling of usefulness are a part of life satisfaction at Sterling House.
Our assisted living program provides housing, care and services to older adults who want to retain their independence while receiving daily support, but don't require the skilled care provided in nursing homes. We provide services and amenities around the clock customized to meet our residents' specific needs. Outings, events and/or programs are offered daily to keep our residents' lives vibrant. We understand each of our residents has individual needs and preferences; our assisted living program is designed to meet them. That's why we create a customized service plan for every resident. This plan encompasses the physical needs and personal preferences of each resident, and is molded to fit their daily and weekly routines. Fees are then based on the service and care provided to each individual. This approach provides the best customer value for our residents because they only pay for what they need or want.
We invest a lot of time and resources finding and keeping the right people to serve our residents. Staff mostly work with and care for the same residents throughout the day, so a bond of trust is established. This continuity is not only important for developing strong relationships, it is key to detecting changes in our residents' health status.
Building Description
We offer a choice of floor plan for studio or one bedroom apartments. Decorate with your own personal furnishings. Included are wall-to-wall carpeting, private bath, including step-in shower, safety bars and non-slip surfaces, window coverings, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, kitchenette, including microwave, frost-free refrigerator, sink, telephone hookup, basic cable. Small pets are allowed.
Comments
Hospice care, personal attendant care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy are all available as needed. On-site library, beauty/barber shop, private dining room, family room, recreation and activity room, ice cream parlor and sun room are also available. Respite Care and Short-term stays are available.
