For our residents living with dementia, Scottsdale Village Square implements an Activity- Based Memory Care program that focuses on resident involvement in the activities of daily life, from choosing clothes in the morning to gardening and family-style dining. We calm agitation through therapeutic redirection, and our staff is always on the alert for wandering, depression, and other issues associated with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. This helps to ensure residents' maximum engagement with their environment so that they can live their lives to the fullest. Scottsdale Village Square also employs full-time social workers in order to address resident and family questions, assist with payor sources, and serve as resident advocates.
